Dance From The Heart

A moving chronicle of the collaboration between The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago and the wheelchair dancers of Dance>Detour, hosted by Ben Vereen. The program follows the creation of an original ballet, beginning with the initial hesitant meetings between the able-bodied Joffrey dancers and disabled artists of Dance>Detour, progressing through their developing relationships, and culminating in a world-premiere performance, which has a surprising and moving impact on performers and audiences alike.
