Coming up next...

Here’s a few of the projects we’re developing right now.

Kira the Young Hunter

HMS Media’s labor of love, currently in development, will adapt classic folk stories and fairy tales from around the world for television and video.  Read and see more

Alcoholics Unanimous

With a title like this, who else could be our partners in crime but acclaimed vets of The Second City? The idea is to set a pop culture/current events roundtable smack dab in the middle of Corcoran’s Pub, favorite watering hole of Second City performers. When they gather at the table next to yours, order their beers and start chatting over the stories of the week, it’s the conversation you can’t stop yourself from eavesdropping on.

Billy Sunday

At the turn of the century, The Chicago Whitestockings (that’s what they were called back then!) featured a star pitcher named Billy Sunday, who left the game to become an evangelical preacher. In 1947 the legendary choreographer Ruth Page turned Billy’s story into one of her most provocative and controversial original ballets. HMS Media’s cameras go behind the scenes and into the theater for this much-anticipated revival.

Through The Lookingglass

When HMS was a start up in 1988 and working out of an Evanston apartment, a handful of nearby Northwestern University theater students were starting a company, too: the now nationally renowned Lookingglass Theatre Company. HMS Media’s first live theater shoot, in fact, was with Lookingglass. Now on the eve of the company’s 20th Anniversary, HMS and Lookingglass team up to present a tour through the company’s illustrious history.
