Studio Sessions
In collaboration with series creator Michael Croiter, HMS produced two beautifully intimate studio-based concerts featuring the songs of legendary Broadway composers John Kander (Chicago, Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Visit) and Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, Children of Eden).
Michael’s brilliant notion allows audiences to experience the thrill of an intimate, live, “Tiny Desk” type concert with the pristine sounds that are only possible in a top recording studio.
Performers included Chita Rivera, Heidi Blickenstaff, Kate Baldwin, Capathia Jenkins, Mandy Gonzalez, Corey Cott, Telly Leung, Jason Danieley and many others.

John Kander is HMS’ premier mentor, having guided us since we were college kids just beginning to contemplate a life in the arts. His vision, both bold and graceful, has been one of HMS’ greatest and most appreciated influences.
Stephen Schwartz has become a wonderful new collaborator, and HMS has new Schwartz-based projects in the works. Stay tuned!
